Here's what's going on in the world of Senior English...
English IV: This week, we will finish up to A2S3 in class (which is the end of Act 2 of Othello). IF YOU MISS A DAY OF CLASS: it is 100% your responsibility to make up the work--whether that be finishing reading and writing your sticky summaries on your own, or whatever. ALWAYS check my website under lesson plans to stay up to date. Check the handouts page for anything you need to get caught up on or that you maybe misplaced. Friday's HW will be the read A3S1-2 and write your sticky summaries for Monday--you'll have a checkpoint quiz, so be prepared! AP Literature: This week, we begin our 5-week long Poetry Unit! Monday, you will receive a Poetry Terms Packet in which you will need to study ON YOUR OWN in order to a) prepare for your Poetry Exam on March 16 and b) prepare for your AP Exam on May 3 and beyond. Don't wait until the last minute. You'll regret it! Tuesday, we will focus on the TPCASST method--a method for analyzing poetry. Wednesday, we will have an in-class essay editing session, so MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR FRANKENSTEIN ROUGH DRAFT HARD COPY! Thursday, we will do an in-class AP essay practice, focusing on analyzing poetry. Lastly, on Friday, your Frankenstein essay and study sheets are due!!!
